PowerHouse Production Women

We are opening up PowerHouse on Thursday, November 5 for an unforgettable evening celebrating and connecting women in production. If you are an emerging creator or a seasoned professional with expertise in video, podcasting, photography, music, graphic design — we want to connect with you!

The evening will feature PowerHouse member, Dulce Fernandez, spinning funk and old-school soul in the Power Garden (our kitchen + DJ stage)!

Expect light bites, flowing drinks and space to vibe and explore collaborating with like-minded women. We promise you will leave this event with a renewed creative spark and a phone full of new contacts!

✨Highlights from Our Past Events✨

We’ve been in the presence of some real PowerHouse women in October & we’re inspired!

The past two weeks have been incredible for Unmuted Studio at PowerHouse. We hosted Mini Timmaraju, President & CEO of Reproductive Freedom For All, who recorded an episode of her new podcast My Body. My Pod with lawyer, political commentator, and former MSNBC anchor Katie Phang. The conversation was powerful and thought-provoking; definitely one to keep an eye out for when it drops.

The following week, we hit the road to Oakland with KCRW’s Sam Sanders to interview none other than Samin Nosrat, author of Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, about her upcoming book Good Things. Farran was full-on fangirling (as any of us would be), and Samin did not disappoint—her warmth and insight were every bit as delightful as her cooking.

Big energy, bold voices, and conversations that matter = PowerHouse

We’re shifting into high gear for our next chapter! More desk space is on the way, new workshops and mixers are brewing, and our community keeps growing stronger every day.

We recently launched our first major fundraising campaign—with Local Color as our incredible fiscal sponsor—and we’re already off to an exciting start, having raised nearly $5,000 toward our $75K goal!

If you’re new to the term fiscal sponsor, here’s the scoop: Local Color extends their nonprofit status to help mission-aligned community projects like ours accept donations and grants, so your contributions to PowerHouse are tax-deductible and directly fuel a space designed for women+ creators to thrive.
