    Unmuted Studio is a women-owned and operated podcast and production studio in the heart of downtown San Jose’s arts district. We’re more than just a space with great gear; we’re a team of creative professionals who know how to make you feel seen, heard, and powerful behind the mic.

    Our all-women team brings technical expertise, creative insight, and a commitment to amplifying your voice. We are collaborators. From pre-production planning to recording, editing and distribution, we walk with you every step of the way.

    We offer customizable set ups (1-3 Panasonic 4K cameras and Shure SM7DB mics), professional lighting, custom set design and livestreaming/online capability.

    Whether you’re filming a podcast, recording a panel, or producing content, our team makes the technical side seamless so you can focus on your message.

    You can book our equipment and expertise for in-studio productions at PowerHouse or bring us to your location anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    Our Space

    This is not your dad’s studio. Housed in a beautifully restored Victorian home in downtown San Jose, our space blends historic charm with modern creative energy. Every corner is designed with intention: colorful, feminine, a little rock-and-roll, and always welcoming!

    Our space is functional and inspiring. We offer a private green room that gives clients space to prep and breathe before stepping in front of the camera. A full kitchen makes long production days easier, while our bright, open common area invites connection and collaboration.

Rented this studio for a solo recording session and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Booking was simple and the space itself is clean, well-maintained, and the gear is legit, not the "good enough" stuff you sometimes find at rental spaces. Easy to find, easy to park, and the staff were genuinely helpful without being hovery. If you're a solo podcaster looking for a professional setup without the stress, this is it.

Beyond the fact that the owners are incredible women -professional, warm, and genuinely kind - everything flowed so smoothly and effortlessly. Communication felt natural and easy, and we truly enjoyed ourselves.


All the equipment is professional and high-quality, and the team works beautifully while keeping everything clean, organized, and on point. On top of that, they made sure to take photos and videos of us during the session, which was such a perfect bonus to receive at the end.
