A South Bay Victorian home opens its doors to women creatives

A co-working space in a downtown San Jose Victorian has been steadily gaining popularity with creative women. As KCBS’s Megan Goldsby reports, the female-focused center is helping them to launch podcasts and run their businesses.

It's not surprising to me how many women are like, I've had really hard experiences trying to create my podcast or create content elsewhere. It's been really negative and people have talked down to me. Men have talked down to me, haven't understood. You know what my vision is? Don't create space for me to collaborate or be creative. And so that's our mission. From the very first second, people walk through the door, and I think it really shows

Since they took over the entire bright blue and red house at the beginning of this year, there were always members in and out working on film proposals, podcasts, books and online content just to name a few things.

This whole place is based on creative synergy increases when you're around people that are also making stuff and are also taking big leaps. And part of it is really pushing themselves financially to charge more, to really value themselves and ask for what they're worth.
